Amy + Gene // Kailua Engagement Photographer

I love it when my clients are up for a little adventure on their engagement session. Amy & Gene decided to ride bikes around Kailua, which I loved! They are such cool people...and here are just a few reasons why: Gene owns a record label and records his own music, and Amy is a successful Personal Trainer. Boom. Add to that, they are super down-to-earth and just plain friendly people. And super in love. I can't wait for their September wedding! It's going to be Awesome. With a capital A.

Jenna // Hawaii Film Photographer

While on the big island with my wife's family this Christmas I did a quick portrait session with my super-amazing-sister-in-law Jenna. She has such a fun, bubbly personality and is currently pursuing her dream to become an actress. She also has a HUGE heart and I'm so happy to call her family. I shot digital AND film on this one. Digital first... scroll down a bit to see the film. I'm super stoked with all things film right now!

The following photos were shot on film.

Keith + Tammi // Hawaii 'Trash the Dress' Wedding Photographer

Free-spirited, adventurous, and madly in love is how I would describe Keith & Tammi. They just got married this past August in California and decided to take some fun portraits here in Hawaii where they live. Back into their formals they went, only this time they were exploring jungle streams and swimming in the ocean. We started at Judd Trail, and ended the evening with a gorgeous sunset at Diamond Head Beach.

2012 // Hawaii Wedding Photographer

2012. It's been a really great year. I put my heart into everything and everyone that I photographed, and I'm so very grateful to everyone that put their trust in me and my camera. Seriously...thanks. I feel so blessed to have met some amazing people this year; both clients and fellow photographers. I've learned SO much, and continue to learn every time I pick up my camera. 2012 has also just recently brought film back into my life, and I'm so excited to be exploring the purest forms of photography. I'm not sure what the next year has in store just yet, but I'm ready and waiting with open arms. I'm stoked to meet new people, make new friends, and ultimately tell some amazing stories with my camera.

Let's go 2013!

Below is a collection of my favorite images from the year (in no particular order)

Gwyenne + Kyle // Laie Temple Hawaii Wedding Photographer

Gwyenne & Kyle are awesome, simply put. I got to know them while shooting their engagement photos a while back, and then I shot Gwyenne's bridal session a few weeks before their wedding. Their personalities in front of the camera can only be described as "giddy", which makes my job so much fun. Gwyenne and Kyle's big day began at a beach house where everyone was staying. Their families were so kind (thanks for breakfast Heidi!) and friendly, and the atmosphere in the house was alive with excitement. Their ceremony and portraits took place at the Laie Temple, and their reception was held at Ola's Restaurant at Turtle Bay Resort. Thank you Gwyenne & Kyle for including me on your big day!
